At IMA ART Fertility, our co-founders and principals, Michelle Tang and Ron Sonnenberg, remain personally involved in the fertility and surrogacy journeys entrusted to us.
From evaluating prospective surrogates to coordinating with medical, legal and psychological professionals, our principal-led approach provides private families with direct access, continuity of judgment and personal accountability throughout their journey.

Entrusting someone with the responsibility of guiding your fertility or surrogacy journey is an enormously consequential decision. Whether selecting a gestational surrogate, choosing an egg donor, sperm donor or navigating complex fertility treatment, intended parents must have confidence not only in the professionals involved, but also in the people responsible for bringing every element together.
At IMA ART Fertility, our principals, Michelle Tang and Ron Sonnenberg, remain personally involved in the journeys entrusted to us. Rather than delegating important relationships and decisions entirely to employees, we invest considerable time understanding our clients' priorities, evaluating prospective surrogates and coordinating with the specialists involved in their care.
Our principals personally spend time with surrogate candidates through extensive conversations, video meetings and in-person interactions, including important clinical milestones. Every surrogate candidate we consider representing also undergoes an in-person home assessment, while independent medical and psychological professionals conduct their respective evaluations.
Where egg or sperm donation forms part of a client's journey, we bring the same attention to understanding individual preferences, coordinating donor selection and working with the appropriate reproductive specialists.
For our clients, the value is continuity of judgment, personal accountability and the confidence that those entrusted with their journey remain directly involved in the decisions that matter most.

Michelle Tang
Our Co-Founder and CEO
Michelle Tang is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of IMA ART Fertility, bringing more than 15 years of professional experience in investment governance, risk management, compliance and international financial services to the highly personal world of fertility and surrogacy.
Before establishing IMA ART, Michelle held management positions with AIA, Natixis Investment Managers, UBS and PwC. Her professional background encompasses the governance frameworks, accountability standards and disciplined decision-making required within complex financial institutions.

At IMA ART, Michelle applies the principles of governance, risk identification, discretion and accountability to fertility and surrogacy journeys involving multiple medical, legal, psychological and other independent professionals.
Michelle believes that meaningful personal relationships cannot be developed solely through candidate profiles, screening reports or information passed between departments. Time spent with prospective surrogates provides opportunities to understand their motivations, communication styles and personal circumstances beyond formal assessments.
She is the creator of Fertility Governance®, IMA ART's approach to bringing greater structure, coordination and personal accountability to complex family-building journeys.
Michelle personally oversees client engagements, participates in the evaluation of prospective gestational surrogates and remains closely involved in coordinating the professionals responsible for each family's care. Her approach reflects an understanding that important decisions cannot always be reduced to clinical reports, procedural checklists or recommendations from third parties.
Her professional experience is complemented by her own experience navigating fertility challenges and becoming a mother. This personal perspective informs her understanding of the emotional significance of decisions that intended parents must make.
For IMA ART's clients, Michelle's background offers a distinctive combination of institutional governance experience, disciplined judgment and personal involvement in the decisions surrounding their future family.
Ron Sonnenberg
Co-Founder & Creative Director
Ron Sonnenberg is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of IMA ART Fertility, where he helps shape the Maison's philosophy of personal service, discretion and direct engagement with the families it represents.
Before co-founding IMA ART Fertility, Ron managed an international consumer products buying office, overseeing quality control, quality assurance, production schedules and deliveries. The role required close coordination with manufacturers and suppliers, attention to operational detail and accountability for maintaining standards across multiple stages of production.
This experience informs his approach to IMA ART, where careful evaluation, coordination between independent professionals and personal attention to important milestones are central to the Maison's service model.
At IMA ART, Ron's responsibilities extend beyond creative direction and the development of the Maison's identity. He is personally involved in getting to know prospective gestational surrogates, participating in extensive conversations, video meetings and in-person interactions to better understand the women who may be introduced to IMA ART's clients.
Ron remains closely engaged with intended parents and the professionals involved throughout their journeys.
Ron believes that meaningful personal relationships cannot be developed solely through candidate profiles, screening reports or information passed between departments. Time spent with prospective surrogates provides opportunities to understand their motivations, communication styles and personal circumstances beyond formal assessments.
Together with Michelle, Ron helps maintain IMA ART's deliberately limited client engagements, allowing both principals to remain personally involved rather than transferring the relationship through successive layers of management.
His personal experience of becoming a parent also informs his understanding of the trust that intended parents place in the individuals guiding their journey.
For IMA ART's clients, Ron's involvement provides another layer of personal knowledge, continuity and accountability throughout a process in which relationships and judgment matter as much as coordination.
Together, Michelle Tang and Ron Sonnenberg have established IMA ART around a shared commitment to personal involvement, careful judgment and accountability throughout the fertility and surrogacy journey.
